High Praise From Owners of Past Dachsunds

Hello Susan & Bill, Just wanted to share a few photos of Baxter. He’s doing great! He’s about 12 pounds, but still slender. We are brushing him regularly with this special brush to strip out the excess wire hair and it works great. He loves playing with the hose, playing tug of war with his toys and he has another Dachshund buddy in the neighborhood that he likes to play with. He also likes kids and other dogs, even big dogs. He’ll be going in for his surgery before the end of the year. We wanted to wait till he was closer to 1 year old to help his bone density, but he’s a bit of a vindictive piddler so we’re losing some patience! Every time we take him out we get so many inquiries about him and how unique he looks. He’s really been a great addition to the family. Thanks again! Arthur

Just thought we’d give an update on our red sable boy, Otto, who is a year old today! He is the sweetest boy! He loves to cuddle with the whole family. He’s very active. We have taken him hiking with us on the Pacific Crest Trail, a short drive from where we live. He insisted on walking the entire time, he only whined when I tried to pick him up and give him a break lol. He has very good public manners. He spent an entire soccer season traveling with us to soccer games. He gets very excited when he sees young kids because he knows they are most likely to come over and give him attention. He’s so smart. He’s very quick to figure out the puzzle feeders we get for him. I’ll add a few pictures, including him hiking with us, and laying on his bed under my desk (this is where he hangs out if I’m working from home, especially when I have the space heater on lol).

Hi Dawco Family – I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and share a little memory—over 19 years ago, I got my beloved Libby from you (I believe the name was Bill? – I apologize for my poor memory). She was a beautiful short-haired black and tan dachshund from a litter of 5. Dad was a short haired black and tan show dog, and mom was a long haired black and tan pet dog. Libby brought so much joy and love into my life. She was truly special, and I’m incredibly grateful to have had her all these years. Now, I’m hoping to welcome a new little girl into my home. I’m looking for a long-haired dachshund puppy, and naturally, I thought of you first. If you have any upcoming litters or know of any available puppies, I’d love to hear more. Thank you again for bringing Libby into my life all those years ago. I look forward to hopefully having Libby coming back to me through you again. Warm regards,
Katie

Hi! I found your information through a couple who bought a mini wire haired through you. ) His name is Humphrey. He is so adorable and seemed to have a calm demeanor. My husband and I have been thinking about adding one to our family. We spoke to the couple, and they told me your business is reputable and trustworthy, and affer looking at your site, I feel very reassured! Thank you so much for any advice. Best,

Hello, My precious little Joey died. I got him from you 14 1/2 years ago. He was the best dog. His brother, Jack, who also came from you is almost 3 years old. He is missing his big brother. A photo of them is attached. Please let me know when you have smooth red puppies. I want to get Jack a companion.
